Front End Engineering

The key to successful detail design is the ability to develop sound front-end engineering. Technical and economic evaluation of the process, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical aspects is often not given sufficient weight in front-end engineering studies.

As specialists in the E&I, mechanical and Process disciplines we can independently evaluate and cost the electrical mechanical power and distribution requirements, instrumentation control systems and mechanical equipment. We have undertaken front-end engineering work on some of the largest North Sea projects.

Dexcrest has the expertise necessary to identify the impact of modifying or upgrading existing facilities. We are able to analyse and determine alternative methods to reduce cost and improve efficiency. From our extensive completion activities we have gained significant knowledge and capability to feed back 'Lessons Learned' to the Front End engineering phase.

The quest to reduce operating costs is often achievable through either down manning or de-manning offshore and onshore installations. We have undertaken automation cost benefit studies and conceptual designs, which have now been successfully implemented, resulting in significant cost savings to the Operator.
